My helmet design is based on the South African flag (my dad is South African), with the Union Jack (my Mum’s English) below the visor. I also have my name on the side of the helmet, exactly the same as Jody Scheckter (1979 World Champion), who I was named after.
I was born here in England, but moved to South Africa when I was just 1 year old and I lived there for 7 years before returning to the UK.
From the first time I sat in a kart, my ambition was to become a professional sports car driver. I made my first visit to the 24 hours of Le Mans at the age of 7 and have been back every year since, when my racing commitments have allowed - I would love to go back to Le Mans as a driver and win.
